More Information
Nancy Suvarnamani is one of the top women in the Chicago Business Asian community who thrives on serving others.

Nancy was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Her father was a Major General in the Thai Army, her mother a nurse. From an early age… discipline, service, and the need to excel were ingrained into her. These three core values have been the guiding lights of her life.

Nancy graduated from Chiengmai University in 1974, and thereafter came to the United States to complete her graduate studies. She holds two masters degrees and numerous real estate designations.

Nancy has been in real estate for over 23 years. Before entering real estate, she worked in the corporate world for Beatrice Foods Company, Borg Warner Corporation, and Gas Research Institute as a researcher. After fifteen years of corporate life, she decided to take control of her own destiny and entered real estate.

She founded Century 21 SGR in 1989. Her departure from the corporate world to the entrepreneurial milieu was not a totally foreign venture. Her grandmother owned her own financial firm for over 50 years. Under her leadership, Century 21 SGR has grown from five agents in one office to over 110 sales associates in three offices.

As president of Century 21 SGR, Inc., Nancy has built her firm into a prime marketer of exceptional developments in Chicago and Asia. Nancy still oversees the operations of Century 21 SGR’s three offices, actively taking part in the budgeting and strategic planning processes. In recent years, she has moved her firm aggressively into the REO market. Her skilled team of REO specialists are experienced in valuing, managing, and selling distressed properties in a variety of asset classes and transaction types throughout the Chicagoland area.

During 2005-2010, Nancy devoted thousands of hours serving the profession she loves. As the past president of the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR), she helped implement the Outreach Program to better explain to CAR members the relevance of the Association beyond the Multiple Listing Service and solicit their ideas about the Association’s future orientation. As chairman of CAR’s Education Foundation Board of Trustees and as a Director of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Illinois Association of Realtors (IAR), she has incessantly lobbied to increase the educational standards of the industry to better serve and promote the public image of agents.

As Founding Chair of the Chicago Chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREEA) and a National Board Director, Nancy has sought to recruit Asians into the profession and expand homeownership among the Asian-American community. As NAR’s president’s liaison to Thailand, she is trying to expand economic opportunities for sales associates both in the United States and Thailand.

Nancy has always lead by example: Never asking others to do what she has not attempted… whether she succeeded or failed.
