President's Message
Share |

In the five months I have been your President, assuming the responsibility of leading a new Executive Committee and Board of Directors in the renaissance of FIABCA-USA, I have had the pleasure and honor of watching and participating with an amazing group of leaders who have dedicated themselves, as I have to creating dynamic programs leading to more business for our members, both new and established.

Combining the history of the past with new ideas, establishing standing committees, restructuring where necessary local Councils with strong local leaders who see a new future for their members and FIABCI-USA, we have to date revitalized the Houston, Miami, New York and Chicago Councils who are joining San Francisco and Seattle for possible future meeting venues. Our membership is growing as are our Principal Members and we are working to add Academic members to those who already understand the value of aligning with FIABCI-USA for the benefit of their students both nationally and internationally. Our New York Council Spring UN Luncheon followed by a day of stellar speakers attracted an international and national audience and we are looking forward to similar events at other Councils.

We welcome any member who wishes to become more involved either in a local Council or nationally on a FIABCI-USA committee, especially if you wish to rise to the International level. You must become active nationally to do so. The experiences I have had has proven to be thrilling when working with International Board members in determining the course of FIABCI International.

Our next National meeting will be held in Chicago on October 31st and November 1st, dovetailing with the National Association of REALTORS convention. We will have a Leadership Class run by the Past President of the Real Estate Brokers Institute combined with other speakers and topics designed to open the world of International business to all. Come and meet future business associates, highly skilled professionals who are doing business all the time all over the globe.

We will continue to use our meetings wherever they take place for building the future of an International organization in its' 60th decade to even greater heights. If you have a desire to participate in an exciting adventure by breathing new life into FIABCI-USA for this 21st Century world we live and work in, please plan to meet me in Chicago on October 31st and November 1st at the Marriott Hotel on North Michigan Ave.

I look forward with great anticipation to seeing you there.

Susan Merdinger Greenfield
